Just had this hood painted and repaired (it was shipped damaged) cost me $350. After hanging it, we closed it and it felt like i was raped then and there:eek: it sticks out like 1.5"-2" and then we realize that that f***** is for an escalade. Anyway after looking at it today it might not be so...

Max tire size is 31" without a lift, depending on the width you will have some rubbing. Where are you located? the thing i love about my truck is that parts aren't that expensive. I just replaced my grille for $36 the bumper for $75 and the hood for $286.

DON'T use simple green, i started to on my dash and it ate away the paint in one spot, once i noticed i stopped and just used armor all.

I don't know how mine was treated, I got it at 130k and at 136 it went out. Probably was beat up with the first owners.

Mine went out on my 98 i went ahead and bought a brand new Jasper tranny and installed it with a buddy of mine. It cost less than buying a rebuilt one and having it installed at the auto-shop. Plus I plan to keep my truck for good =D

I want to cut my cats off, hollow them out and then weld them back on. I'm not too happy with my truck's sound (too quite). Anyone else not have cats? Anyone think its a bad idea? I want to hear everyone's opinion. Thanks.

I want to get a 6" superlift on my tahoe. Are 35" tires the biggest I can fit? I want to go as big as I can. I talked to my tire guy and hey said that if I got 17" wheels then bigger tires would be cheaper. Would i loose performance on the trails if i got 17"s? I want to get Dick Cepeks DC1s...

My 98 has the z71 option with a lever selector TC. Is autotrac only with the push button?

Yea bud will slow work down a bit :lol: I have no problem grindin on my ride, I work in a welding shop. Appreciate the help, I'm going to put in some long tube headers first, it will probably me March when I can get my lift and tires.

I have access to a rotary lift and shop full of snap on tools. Could i save some money and install a lift myself? Of course it wouldn't be me by myself, i would have a buddy or two helping . I was thinking a 6" pro comp suspension lift. Thanks

Really nice job. I love it. I have a white 98 2 door z71 Sport. I wish i had tan interior but I have grey. Where did you get the rear tail light covers? I want a pair of those so bad.
