    Low Idle...stalling

Well no, I've got a K&N air filter with about 10k on since I last cleaned it. I'll take a look though.

    Low Idle...stalling

My '01 Denali had it's fuel pump replaced about 6 months ago (at the dealership). I noticed afterwards when I let off the gas pedal (coming up to a stop sign or something), the RPMs would drop pretty low, down to about 400. It was kind of irritating, when I would step on the gas there would be...

    Rearview Mirror Thermometer Malfunction

I'm not sure if you can call it a city, but I'm in St. Albans, VT, about 30 min North of Burlington. I'm all for the junkyard route. With this problem I just don't exactly what I should be asking for. I'd love to see a diagram of it's components (sensor, wiring, mirror etc)

    Rearview Mirror Thermometer Malfunction

Indeed it looks like a need a new one. Do I need to replace the whole mirror or can I just get the sensor itself, wherever that is? Anybody know where I can find something like this (besides the dealership)?

    Rearview Mirror Thermometer Malfunction

Well I tried disconnecting the wire bundle then reconnecting with a good push. No luck. Any other ideas out there. There must be a way to fix this myself.

    Rearview Mirror Thermometer Malfunction

My rearview mirror thermometer began showing wildly inaccurate temp readings recently. And for the past 2 weeks it just shows "OC". Any ideas on fixing this myself? I'd just take it to the dealer but I'm growing quite fond of the $300 in my checking account.

    Fuel Pump Issue (Bulletin?)

Well the fuel pump is fine now -- since it's a new one, $906 later. Of course I looked here AFTER I had my problems (RPMs dropping out, code reading 'running lean', would'nt start), and got it fixed (new fuel pump at the dealership). Now the idle seems a bit low, it drops down to about...

    Throttle Body Cleaning

    Jk Is The Man!!!

I couldn't agree with you more Hoebag! I've been a member for about 2 weeks now and he's been a HUGE help. I wish I lived near him so I could somehow bribe him into turning my Denali into a smooth running kick a$$ machine. Thanks JK!

    Throttle Body Cleaning

I have a '01 Denali with a rough idle when cold, seems ok when warm. I've seen a few comments about cleaning the throttle body to remedy this. I've never done that. Can someone hit me with those oh so helpful tips that make these boards a goldmine of info? :confused2:

    Humming Headliner

Good news, for now. I got access to the 'inside ambient air temperature sensor'-thank you JK for the instructions. When I disconnected the fan and it's housing from the grill housing it didn't hum anymore. So I blew all the dust off with compressed air, adjusted the little...

    Humming Headliner

Well I shopped around and the best price I could find was $27 from a parts store (GMC dealer wanted $46). JK where did you get that price of $7?

    Humming Headliner

Thanks JK. I'll ask my local autoparts store for that and get it fixed...it's pretty annoying.

    Humming Headliner

Sounds like your onto it JK, but where's the "grille" in the headliner?

    A couple lights are out..

Thanks for those instructions JK. As I said I've got the circuit boards with the bulbs soldered on, and I've been taking them around town to try to find replacements---with NO luck. The GMC and Chevy dealer said they'd have to order the whole unit, there was no way they could get just a...

    Humming Headliner

I just bought an '01 Denali, and if I turn the key to the 'On' position I get this Humming/Vibrating from the headliner just to the left of my head, in the area of the little speaker-which I believe is for the Onstar system. I don't always hear it when the vehicle is running but I think it's...

    A couple lights are out..

Well getting to the dash bulbs wasn't too bad-thanks for the tip on the plastic frame, JK. It didn't take me long to realize the bulb contacts are actually soldered into the electronics board, not as easy as unplugging and replacing but hopefully it won't be too bad. I'd like to replace...

    A couple lights are out..

I just bought a 2001 Denali and the first time I drove it at night I noticed a few dash lights are out: -- Buttons #1 and #4 on radio(which are above and below each other so I assume they're lit by the same bulb) -- 'Seek' rocker button on radio -- 'recirculate' button for climate...
