This thread can be closed now, I found someone to trade with.
For future reference when this thread gets pulled up by Google in 3+ years, the swap is very easy, bench seats bolt in exactly the same as captain's chairs. Everything comes off and goes on pretty self explanatory, but do be gentle...
20" Blade worked like a charm. I still have wiper arms designed for Los Angeles but at least I don't get completely blinded by saltspray on the highway anymore.
That sounds like it could be right, although the spring response of the passenger wiper arm is a lot stronger. I'm going to test this out and get back to you.
The driver side wiper in my '03 has a weak spring in it, and as such it doesn't put enough pressure on the wiper blade, so it's either streaky at best, or has an enormous dead spot directly in my line of sight at worst. The other thing I've despised about them from day one is the fact that they...
I have, though not on my Tahoe. This same thing would happens on my 94 Roadmaster whenever its less than ~50 degrees outside, or in the rain for some reason.
+1 to this thread, I bet the issue has similar origins.
Based solely on appearance:
Escalade>Yukon>>>>>Tahoe
They classed up the Escalade a lot, I wasn't a fan of them until I saw the newest one. I could see a well to do person owning one.
The Yukon looks more like a truck than the previous generation, I think they hit the ball out of the...
Yeah it definitely wouldn't be able to get up to temp in -14. I would imagine it's been stuck open since I've had the truck Oct 2012-Now, but it hasn't been such a glaring fault until this harsh winter. My heat has always been anywhere from marginal to passable, especially when compared to the...
I have an 03 Tahoe with a Z code 5.3L, and I'm just wondering if its normal for these engines to have difficulty reaching and maintaining operating temperature (just below the 210 mark) or if it's just my thermostat being stuck in the open position.
It has no real issues spring/summer/fall...
Looking to trade later year 2nd generation Tahoe Captain's chairs in the light gray leather for a bench seat of the same color and condition. I'm in the Milwaukee area, and not overly adverse to driving a bit to get the right item. 99-02 Seats bolt up just the same, but the stitching is...
I don't think they will, I changed my wheels to aftermarket steel 16x7s (stock size) and even then they had to put in a spacer.
I thought briefly about going with 15s off of an 80's Chevy, but I did this instead:

I actually finished this project a couple months ago, thought I would share the results.
Wheels are 16x7 U.S. Wheel Daytonas in gloss black with factory Silverado 1500 chrome center caps. Tires sit about 1/2 inch outside of the wheel wells, which is further out than I would like, but...
2003 Tahoe LT, 124k miles as of last night. Had it for about 3/4 a year now.
Had the 6 cd changer grenade on me, which isn't overly surprising.
Had the front heater core clog up with dexcool in the dead of winter.
Had the driver side front window regulator go bad (but that wasn't the trucks...
Lately I've been wanting to make my Tahoe to look a little more truck-like without going overboard and sacrificing practicality. So I've been looking at a few different models of plain black steel wheels in 16x7 6x5.5 size with the intention of finishing them off with factory chrome hub/lug...
I know this is necroing a bit, but I was using this thread for my reference as well. GM keeps changing the part # for this sensor! As of this posting the sensor you need to correct the buzzing is #20931026
Found out from elsewhere that doing what I posted above will NOT work. The Bose sound system requires the 6 cd changer or an aftermarket radio. Posting this for everyone else's reference.
I bought a 2003 Tahoe LT, awesomely clean truck for 120k miles. Came with the stock 6 cd changer with the stock Bose sound system. I realized about a month later that the cd system didn't work, so I decided I'd be clever and try to fix it. Instead of fixing it I caused it to make a whirring and...
