    not sure about 2005s but my 2000 has an orange wire running by the steering column that has two fine wires in it for the tow haul mode switch. these wires break under movement of the shifter. I would start there.

    Dont forget the O2 sensors. Recently had random misfires. They occurred mainly when the weather was wet. Turned out to be a damaged wire on one of the sensors.
