Anyways, thanks for the compliment. Not too much talk around here about Pedders anymore, but I'm still quite satisfied that I have one of the best handling, if not best looking Suburbans around.
It would use the same pads as stock. The greater braking power comes from increased leverage due to the larger rotor diameter. Kind of like using a longer breaker bar on a stuck bolt.
No, it gets attached to the inside of the hitch opening in the bumper. I admit, the instructions suck, but spend a little time with it and you'll figure it out.
Perhaps I'm just ignorant, but why whould you need to "extend" a shock when lowering a vehicle. Wouldn't the idea be to somehow shorten it? Please educate me.
I recently purchased and installed one as well. Installation was easy, only requiring a drill. Good thing is that if you ever remove it, the drilled holes are not noticable at all.
