I just unbolted one bolt under the hood, stroked the shaft about 10-15 times ( lol ) and then bolted it back on. It's as good as new. Not even the slightest thump. I've heard this fix lasts anywhere from 5-10k miles. That should take me into spring and then I'll pickup the latest shaft that GM...

Thanks :thumbsup: I guess Suburban's have it a little rougher 'cause of the added weight too :( I used to have a Bronco and the Bronco had the same weakness -- a poor stock tranny that could not take too much heat/stress and cost a ton and a half more than most other trannys

I used black BBQ paint (the high temp stuff with the BBQ picture on the can ) . Sprayed it into a small dixie cup and then with a q tip tried it out on the buttons. it Works great!! matches almost perfectly and has almost the identical texture and 'flat' matted color to it... needed 3 coats...
