Yep, dropped the rear tire and got tons more room, first shocks replaced, onto the next one

I'm in the middle of taking off the rear shock, but on the top bolt, only one side is visible, the other bolt is tucked away behind the frame and i cant even see what i'm doing back there. Should i take off the spare to get some clearance or what??

I saw a write up on replacing the shocks for a 2000-2006 tahoe about a month ago with pics, and lost it. I've been searching for about an hour and still no luck. Does anyone have the link?

there should be a thread around on this but i'll give you the basics Sand down the tails with 300 grit sandpaper, move up to anywhere from 800 grit to 1000 grit. Start with very light coats of night shade, tint them as dark as you want. If the finish isnt even, wait for them to dry and wetsand...

you might have to trim out some of your wheel well plastic but other than that probably nothing

15.5 mpg is the most i've gotten with mixed driving and a full tank on the 91 tune. Short trips will kill your gas mileage faster than a lead foot...keep that in mind, fill the tank, and see what kind of mpg's you're getting

Not with the SUV market the way it is.....sure gas is getting cheaper.....for now I dont see why you couldnt try and get it for 15k

I thought they only had AWD as an option on the Yukon and Denali, and sorry to split hairs here but there is no way you are getting 21mpg. From the factory these were rated 10mpg city and 15mpg highway. With a CAI, exhaust, and Blackbear tune i've bumped it up to around 16.5mpg, or 330 miles...

Ok, i'm a 19 year old college student. I drive 300-330 miles a week, averaging around 16.5 gallons now with a few mods. Besides normal maintenance i havent really had any big issues with mine at all, even though it is at 105k....I get many comments on it because i clean it basically every day...
