i was looking into the D3 also and my local dealer told me i would loose the use of the rear audio control center. because they do not have any wire harness out there right now that can connect both systems with any aftermarket radios.

nah i was trying to go with a wire mesh style but i wanted it to look flush from the rear of the chrome bezel so i can have that chrome lip in the front. i was thinking the same thing also about cutting the plastic mesh out just did not know if that was the route i had to take.

Took my 08 Tahoe in to get front grille installed. Installer called and told me that the chrome bezel is held on by stock plastic grille. Has anyone else had this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would like to remove the plastic grille and install mesh behind bezel...
