Are there any major differences in performance between a 95 and 96 2door yukon?

95 rated at 210hp. 96 rated at 255hp. You can def. feel the power diff. I've owned both. I get 1 - 2 mpg better with the vortec also.

    A few questions.

For the axle ratio, inside the glove box has a list of codes. The GU6 is 3.42. The GT4 is 3.73. Z71 is off road heavy duty suspension & skid plates.

    Loose steering

Idler arm & pitman arm are usually the culprits. If you have someone jerk the steering wheel back & forth a couple inches & you crawl underneath, you can see the play in these two massive couplings move (1/8" or so) before the tie rods actually move the tires.

    Pitman and Idler arms

How much tighter is the steering? Did it reduce steering wheel play a lot?

    Remove Running Boards?

Not too hard at all. Just bolted on. Would recommend hosing under & around boards first to avoid a face full of dirt!

    Rear springs

My 97 2-door has 4 + the overload spring. That's with the Z71 pkge. Don't know if the Z71 has diff. or added spring cause it seems stiff.

    My New Look Pictures

    Can't Make Sharp Turns

Is your powering steering hoses leaking? Is your p.s. fluid full? I read somewhere that could cause slow turning binding issues.

    Z-71 = stiffer springs?

I know it has stiffer Bilstein shocks but does anyone know if the rear leaf springs are stiffer or more leafs than the regular 2 door Tahoe?

    2 Door Questions

I got the Z71 on mine also. Does it have an extra leaf spring in back or stiffer springs or just the Bilstein shocks that make it stiffer riding?

    sensor in the column

That makes my day. I thought I read that you had to pull the steering column. Does this correct the binding in the steering at low rpm's like the power steering isn't kicking in?
