From what I have read about the front shaft is when you lift it the angles get bad and you have to buy a double cardon shaft. If not you will have vibrations if you use 4 high over 35 miles an hour.

I know this is a bad pic but you can see where I cut it and then welded it back on. As you can see there are no brackets to mod and if you make a bracket it won't fit to give you any support.

I went with rear Add A Leafs and it raised my rear up almost 3 inches because the thing is heavy as hell in the back and the springs were sagging a little. I then just cranked the torsion bars until it was level. I actually have the front higher now than what my pic shows.

I have a 3 inch body lift on my 98 4-door and 33x12.50 fits just fine. I had to cut the end of my rear frame and raise it 3 inches and weld it back on to raise the rear bumper. Now all I have to do is buy a rollpan hitch and then the reciever will be up where it belongs.

If it is a new body style than it will work but it doesn't work on the old body style. It fits them all but the OBS doesn't need them.

I think they can become weak and lose some lift up front but as far as a rough ride it sounds like they are working fine.

I have a 3" body lift on a 98 Tahoe and I want to get the K&N cold air induction. Has anyone done this and what mods do I need to do? I thought about a throttle body spacer but K&N doesn't recommend that. They say I have to modify the kit but they won't tell me how because it voids the warranty.

Do you have to replace the idler, pitman, and the two brackets? Where is a good place to get quality parts from?

I put grease in my yoke yesterday and the clank went away. Definately getting the new nickel plated yoke asap. I found one for a little under $200.00 at GMPartsDirect.com. There is another thread all about this problem and the part number for the new yoke. I can't seem to find it right now...

Yeah my wheels are driv 17x9 I think. I half-ass measured the width and think they are 9 inches wide. What kind of trimming you talking about?

I have a 98 tahoe with a 3 inch body lift and 33/12.50/17s. I want to go with 35s and was wondering would they fit or do I need to do a suspension lift. I am currently looking at the Mickey Thompson 315/70/17 MTZ. Would levelers work or d I actually need a suspesion lift.
