I've notice this with mine at times as well. It doesn't do it all the time and is only really noticeable if I am feeling for it. It could also have something to do with the ethanol content of the gas at this time of year in particular areas.
I have the SBZA on my Tahoe. It's basically a proximity sensor in the corners of the rear bumper that will alert you (via a light on the side mirrors) that a vehicle is approaching or in the common blind zone of your vehicle. It's a nice little feature to let you know if a small car is hiding...
If they weren't unlocking with just the remote, I would have said there was a problem with the remote, but since they won't unlock with the interior controls, something larger is amiss I would take it into the dealer and have them fix it under warranty.
I've got one rock chip on the roof about 3mm in diameter. Car in front of me went through a bunch of gravel and I couldn't avoid the oncoming projectile. It'll be fixed as soon as the touch-up paint kit arrives.
Edit: The rock chip happened two weeks after I picked it up.
Are you sure you have the Passlock or do you have the Passkey3 (or 3+) system?
What I have for the relearn procedures is this.
=======================================
PASSLOCK
The Passlock system is designed to prevent vehicle operation if the key is not used to start the vehicle. The key...
IIRC it's because the GM brake controller isn't just a stand alone unit the the aftermarket ones. The GM one uses the GM LAN to communicate with the BCM and PCM and those modules have extra programming to enable the functionality of the controller. The GM controller also communicates to the...
Hmm... Not sure what the clicking would be. Probably a relay of some sort. I would have the install of the remote start double checked that it's not causing a short somewhere. Maybe contact the manufacturer of the remote start to see if they have any suggestions.
You're depressing the brake pedal before trying to get it out of park, right?
If you are and it still won't come out of park, then I'd say something with the remote start got messed up as the truck doesn't think it's running when it actually is so the truck is not letting you shift out of park.
I'd definitely take it back to the dealer have have them replace the speaker under warranty.
At the dealer It's like "Hey, one of my speakers is making this crackling noise it shouldn't. I think something is wrong with it."
At one point I read through a discussion on a different forum (GM-Trucks) about installing the integrated brake controller into a truck that didn't come with it. To make a long story short, it's a factory installed option only.
I have the brake controller in my 09, here is a picture of it.
Do you hear any unusual noises when this happens?
The clutch packs I would say aren't all the that expensive, it's the labour involved in changing them that will get you. It's not a DIY thing either.
Check this link out on how an automatic transmission works...
Sounds like major transmission slippage. Does the same thing happen in all gears? My bet would be that one or more of the clutch packs are done. Time for a trip to a transmission shop.
Very true, there is a ways around anything. But then there are wheel locks and then there are wheel locks. The McGard wheel locks are really good from what I've heard people say.
