I hope somebody solves the body mount bushing search soon. I can't wait to get them. I really need that extra inch in the back.
JK's ride looks bad azz
That was it. I contacted DJM today and that was also there guess on what was wrong. I didn't have the directions the first time around and I wanted to keep the sway bar centered under the rear as you should normally do. Who would have that the the 1" the swaty bar moved to the right would have...
It seems that another member here helped uncover the problem. I have the blue DJM springs which are the Heavy Duty springs for an Avalanche. I need the softer 5" springs for the Tahoe. I'm not real crazy about the Airride shocks,I think they are pretty light duty because I think most of the...
That must be the problem. The truck is sooo stiff. It's like driving a pogo stick.
The wife and kids didn't like the ride at all.
Looks like I will be ordering the lighter duty springs and correct shocks on Monday.
Thanks
In the past I had built a '99 Denali that was a 3-4 Belltech with 22's that rode great. Just before I bought this Tahoe I had a '95 Tahoe that had a 3-4 with 22's that also rode nice.
This '01 with the 5" spring rides really bouncy.
Thanks for your help
If you seen in my first post I've been doing this for many many years. I'm currently running Air Ride Tech shocks because the truck was bagged before. I going to order the DJM shocks for the kit. Mty question is are your 5" DJM springs blue powdercoat??
Thanks Bro
Yeah I think the shocks will help. I'm going to order the DJM shocks that go with the kit. You have Belltech springs that are 3" drop? right? I didn't think they made a 5" drop spring. If they did I would have ordered them. They are always my first choice.
Thanks
Now I've built a ton of rides over the past 15 years and my Tahoe with 5" rear springs rides really bouncy.I would compare the ride to cut coil springs. It's so weird. I bought the truck with the kit and just installed them. My first question is what color are the rear coils?? Mine are blue...
I had a 95 Tahoe 4dr. 4wd that was lowered 3-4. I had 22's w 265 40 22. The most important thing about a 3-4 drop and 22's is the offset of the wheels. The wheels I had were 22x9.5 with a +40 offset.
Good Luck
Here is a pic
Truck looks sweet. Gotta love that murdered out look. I agee that the truck needs to be lowered. I dig the artistic photos.
What size bulbs are in the outside mirrors? Where did you buy all of the leds?
