Front running lights on 2004 tahoe

I have replaced the front headlight, but cannot find a way to remove the asembly for the front running light. Do I have to remove the entire bumper or grille? If so, can someone please send me detailed instructions. I'm mechanically inclined, but I don't understand some of the "front end" terminology.

on my 03 hoe. after about 50000 miles my passenger side drl stopped working and has not worked since. i just pulled the fuse.

1. pull the headlights out
2.take off the shroud using a flat head screwdriver to pop the little plastic pins out
3.2 bolts hold on the grill surround, romove these
4. on each side there are to clips directly above the running lamp, you just have to give it a good pull it wont hurt it i promise
5now you have access to your DRL lamps

wow, tahoes are harder than yukons to get to the DRL's, i need no tools to take out my drls and dont need to remove my bumpers. wonder why its so different. :umn:

well on my 06,

1. take out headlights
2. look at the turning signals
3. theres a small clip that you just push in and pull and it comes right out

exactly how mine works.

i guess i mad eit harder than it had to be, but i was also installing my HIDs at the time
