For a 2000 Tahoe w/out Bose: I have an aftermarket strereo and amp for my Sony xplod subs. I need to know the easiest way to disconnect the stock sub because it is blown, but i want the stock amp to still be in place for the door speakers. Is there a specific wire in the wiring harness behind the radio that i can cut or do i have to take off the plastic panel to get to the rear sub to disconnect it? removing that panel is something that i want to avoid if possible. Any help would be appreciated.

There is a wire harness in your back drive side corner above the sub that you can disconnect. It should be visible without having to take anything apart and should be really easy to do.
