Hello,
I have a '98 Tahoe LS, 4 door with the 5.7.
I am looking to begin upgrading the engine and exhaust system and have several questions that hopefully you guys can answer.
I am not really sure where to begin, or what exactly I need. I am also not sure if I have the ability to the things I want.
Specifically, I am looking at a two inch lift and install headers and new muffler/cat.
with the exhaust, will any welding need to be done with new mufflers? If so, how much? I am definitely not able to do that on my own, so I am wondering if it is better to just buy the mufflers and have someone else install.
I am also looking at the Volant Cold air intake. Which is better, dry or oiled filter?
I have seen several posters talking about a tune from Black Bear performance. What exactly does it do for the vehicle and is it worth it?
