Over the past week or 2 the low coolant light has been coming on. We put coolant/water in, and next day or so, light is on again. The past couple days we've had to put some (yesterday my husband put in over a gallon before he drove it & couple miles later it was starting to get hot) in at least everyday. When you accelerate, there's a whiny squeaking noise, let off the gas & it quiets down.
We assumed its the water pump, but after some researching, I thought I'd find out if it could be the pulley or bearing, before we go replacing the pump. Haven't had a chance to take things apart & check it out yet, its been raining a lot.
Also, could/could not be related, but AC doesn't get cold, just kinda cool. compressor doesn't kick on. think we might have a leak somewhere? Coils it be related to the water pump issues?
