Should I replace my Tahoe or my engine??
I have a 2010 Chevy Tahoe LS 5.3 L V8 with 131,100 miles. Well maintained, the only major repair, I've had the alternator replaced (in my opinion, prematurely, but that's another story).
The "oil pressure low stop engine" light came on so I took it into a garage. They did a diagnostic test and a oil change (I needed one) and determined that there wasn't anything defective and it wasn't leaking oil, they said the engine is burning the oil. They advised to keep some oil on hand and check it daily, and if it got to the point where I had to add oil daily, the vehicle is done! So, I'm at the point where I'm having to add oil daily!! What should I do...replace my vehicle or my engine?? I still owe about $6000 on the vehicle.
Please help!!
Thank you!
