No modifications were needed. I simply pulled the 30 amp fuse and plugged in the circuit-breaker that was the same size. This was in front of the Auxiliary "A" terminal post that now feed power to the Trailer Brake Controller.

Update. I have added the 7-pin connector at the rear of the truck, and installed the Brake Controller inside the cab. I was able to replace one of the 30 AMP Fuses with an Auto-resetting circuit breaker. I have installed the Auxialiary Transmission Fluid Cooler in front of the Air-Conditioner...

Hi there. We just got a new to us 1998 Tahoe with 70,000 miles on the clock. I have changed the oil and filter, filled the tires which are 2 yrs old to 35 PSI, and replaced all of the speakers except the front door tweeters just forward of the Window Switches. (Wow what a difference)...

1998 4dr 4x4 LT 70,300. Just got it. Changing the oil in the morning. Don't know why the miles are so low, has a clean car fax. Maybe they just didn't like the mileage. We are in love with it already and have noted that it is built like a tank. It has been named Sherman.
