I have two questions regarding the new 2009 Tahoes.
First, is the G80 (heavy duty locking rear) available with the new GUA 3.08 ratio XFE rear axle? Is the G80 just the Eaton locking device installed in the GUA rear axle, or is it entirely a different type (heavier duty)...
I found a new '08 Tahoe on a dealers lot that has everything is I'm looking for with the exception of having the optional 20" wheels/tires (P275/55R-20). I prefer the 17 inch (P265/70R-17) wheels and tires, for various reasons. From my preliminary research on a Michelin tire website it appears...

Do you think the new 6 speed AT will be as reliable as the older 4 speed AT? Has it proven itself in some other model/vehicle already? I'm somewhat hesitant to buy an unproven piece . . . and I too am wondering what kind of gas mileage will result from the 6 speed and 3:08 gearing.
From reading the fine print on the 2009 ordering guide it looks like the new 6 speed A/T (rpo MYC) is not available with the 5.3 L active fuel management engine (rpo LY5), but is available with the flexfuel 5.3 L (rpo LMG). Am I interpreting this correctly?
