Did you disconnect the battery? If not do so for about 1 hour. This hopefully will let the engine ecu erase previous P0121's . Then do a throttle relearn, let idle 3 min, off 60 sec, repeat twice. Also, driving will help relearn throttle position.

I heard that Tahoes have some type of voltage regulator/sensor that control and monitor the needs of the battery and alternator??? I went thru the same thing , thought alternator was bad, not... I guess it was just time for a new battery. Hope this helps.
