My '05 yukon denali must have a sensor in the pass seat. When there is no passenger the mirror says pass air bag off. As soon as someone gets in, the mirror switches to pass air bag on. I'm assuming it senses the weight on the seat bottom.

Yup. Bought it last July with 68K and now have just under 100K. Thats 30K+ in 1 year and 8 months... Not real happy seeing it at 100K, but have no doubt it will last much longer - it looks and drives like it has 20K on it!

This is how I understand it to work... AWD is full power to all wheels all the time. Auto 4x4 is 2wd and automatically locks into 4x4 when the rear tires spin. Standard 4x4 is 2wd until you press the button to engage the 4x4. I've driven them all and prefer the awd for my driving.

I have a '05 yukon Denali and love it. It has 98K miles and runs/drives great! Pay close attention to the trans. See when it's been serviced last - should've been done every 30-40K miles. Lack of maintenance can shorten the life of the trans. Make sure the trans fluid is full and correct...

Most auto parts stores or body supply stores can get a replacement mirror glass. Use a heat gun/hair dryer to heat the broken glass. Then use a screwdriver to putty knife to slowly pry the old glass off. New mirror will come with adhesive pads to keep it on. Very easy 10 min job.

I used the jumper diode idea from the tech article and jumped the fogs to the low beam wire and the high beam to the low beam wire. So with low beams I have fogs always. And with high beams I have fogs, low and high lit up. Love it that way. But my fogs are ALWAYS on when the headlights...
