Those numbers don't surprise at all anymore. I talk with a lot of people that belong to different OBS (Old Body Style) clubs across the country and it will shock you at how many of these trucks have 500,000 miles on the original engines. I have the 99/00 5.7 Vortec...just done the complete...

Ok, my gauges came in and I have gone outside to check the pressure readings 1st I hooked the gauges up, made sure all the connections were tight and got a reading of 0,zero on both high and low side..made sure all valves were open again...engine not running. 2nd I started the engine, checked...

You may have something there LesterL...My battery has been playing hell this winter.. We've had a colder than usual winter here in Chattanooga..I've woke up to a dead battery a few times...If the truck sat for 3 days it would be dead..as long as it's driven daily it starts... I've ran 1 1/2...

BEAUTIFUL!!! All stock and fine...I love you and your truck! Mine shows a bit more wear with 250,000 on her but she runs pretty good still and no changes to her...the way the Tahoe Limited should be.
