My wife gets 15.8 mpg mixed use driving. She doesn't drive that slow either. Almost as good as our Grand Cherokee got w/a straight six in it.

Hand wash w/sponge and water only. I never use touchless car wash as I think it blows the wax off. Turtle Wax, Carnuba, twice a year. Spring and fall.

I think the bench seats "look" better and seem to finish out the interior. I would much prefer not having them at all and the extra money in my pocket. The day I got the Tahoe home the seats came out and into the bedroom closet.

Try to find one that's been sitting on the lot for awhile if you can. I believe some (maybe all?) the rebates are associated with when the Tahoe was built. I think for the highest amount of rebates you have to find a Tahoe built before Feb. 2007.
