Yes, your actuator motor is bad. This motor controls a flap that directs either hot or cold air to blow. It's about a $25 part. Do a search on actuator and air conditioning and I'm sure there's a right up as to how to fix. It's about a 30 minute job if that.
Don't think that can be fixed. About the only thing you can do is replace the steering wheel. They're on Amazon/Ebay and they're not that expensive. Also, you can buy a cover that goes over the spokes of the steering wheel that will hide the flaw.
How's your battery. Funny electronic things happen when the battery is suspect. Also, you may want to disconnect the battery for 30 seconds. I had an electrical gremlin and this cleared it up. It's like rebooting the cpu.
Have an '09 LTZ. Tachometer is reading very high. It reads 5000 at idle and it's almost straight down when you floor it. It's almost like the needle slipped on its connection point clockwise about 90 degrees. Anybody have any insight into this? Thanks.
