hmmm...I've switched mine back and forth numerous times and it works just like you speculated - you change the DIC from English to Metric and it should also change the units on your Nav system (assuming it's a factory nav unit) at the same time. At least it does on my '08 LTZ. Something might be...

...and I use one of those Swiffer things for dusting the interior including the instrument cluster. Just don't push hard on it but lightly touch it to the plastic.

Sorry Mikenewb...I think you've miss understood me. I ordered a 2009 Nav Disk not a 2009 Tahoe (although I guess that would be a round-a-bout way of getting a new disk for free!). It's gonna go in my 2008 LTZ.:D I'll let you know when it shows up. Hoe

I just ordered mine...unfortunately I have to pay for it. I ordered the new 2009 one and they told me that they expect them in towards the end of September. It's on backorder until then. I'll let you know when it shows up.

Greystone I'm with you. Last time I checked this was a Sport Utility Vehicle. As such lots of people carry stuff on their roofs...kayaks, bikes, carriers, etc. I was shocked to learn that the cross rails are not part of the stock package. Robbery!
