So I am suppose to repair under warranty something that the customer damaged and make GM pay for it? How does that work?

GMPP is the only "factory" backed warranty. It is a very good warranty and the list of stuff it does not cover is short. As a GM tech I deal with all kinds of aftermarket warranties and the ONLY ones I would buy would be the GMPP or Easycare. Both of these are good IMHO.

If it was a dealer demo unit, the warranty starts when the put it into use as a demo and there is nothing you can do about that. That is why dealers discount demo units. Sometimes they "forget" to tell you that stuff.

It may still work everything except for the radio control that works through the remote.

I had one with a K&N and the air filter was soaked in oil and it took out the MAF sensor. That was customer pay.

The parts are suppose to be ready by then, if you go early it will be disabled so there will not be any problems. There has been reports of some catching on fire.

The factory remotes still work. You program the remotes in order of use. The 2 way kit comes with a new RCDLR,antenna and (1) 2 way remote. You can have up to 4 remotes programed but you have to have all of them when you program.

There is nothing to the install, it is the computer programming that you will have to had done by your local dealer. It took me about 15 mins to install the kit and 15 mins to program it. The only thing that is added is the antenna in the left rear side window.

It will look too ghetto IMHO. I have done this to a couple of trucks and they look like crap. The color match grill looks great on these trucks, being a black truck I would have everything you said but in black.

Crawl under and you can see where the factory ones bolt to the body. The new ones mount up to the factory holes. You will need to reuse the tow hook bolts for the grill guard, if you don't have them you will need to buy them first. Looks like it mounts at the factory hook mounts.

It may have a sensor out of range or shock problem. I would not worry about it they will fix it for you, remember they are man made and WILL have problems. Even humans have problems every now and then :thumbsup:
