My '01 Denali had it's fuel pump replaced about 6 months ago (at the dealership). I noticed afterwards when I let off the gas pedal (coming up to a stop sign or something), the RPMs would drop pretty low, down to about 400. It was kind of irritating, when I would step on the gas there would be...

I'm not sure if you can call it a city, but I'm in St. Albans, VT, about 30 min North of Burlington. I'm all for the junkyard route. With this problem I just don't exactly what I should be asking for. I'd love to see a diagram of it's components (sensor, wiring, mirror etc)

Indeed it looks like a need a new one. Do I need to replace the whole mirror or can I just get the sensor itself, wherever that is? Anybody know where I can find something like this (besides the dealership)?

Well I tried disconnecting the wire bundle then reconnecting with a good push. No luck. Any other ideas out there. There must be a way to fix this myself.

My rearview mirror thermometer began showing wildly inaccurate temp readings recently. And for the past 2 weeks it just shows "OC". Any ideas on fixing this myself? I'd just take it to the dealer but I'm growing quite fond of the $300 in my checking account.

Well the fuel pump is fine now -- since it's a new one, $906 later. Of course I looked here AFTER I had my problems (RPMs dropping out, code reading 'running lean', would'nt start), and got it fixed (new fuel pump at the dealership). Now the idle seems a bit low, it drops down to about...

I have a '01 Denali with a rough idle when cold, seems ok when warm. I've seen a few comments about cleaning the throttle body to remedy this. I've never done that. Can someone hit me with those oh so helpful tips that make these boards a goldmine of info? :confused2:

Good news, for now. I got access to the 'inside ambient air temperature sensor'-thank you JK for the instructions. :thumbsup: When I disconnected the fan and it's housing from the grill housing it didn't hum anymore. So I blew all the dust off with compressed air, adjusted the little...
