just got a '12 LTZ
and to be honest ... the 2007 LTZ was a better build - at least inside.
The 2012 has been cheapened. No driver control for rear seats, they moved the compass and temp gauge from the mirror, NO rain sensing wipers, the carpet is simply laid on the back - not nicely fitted...
Just wondering what everyone else is doing with rotation. I have the stock 20's and have been rotating them approx. every 5,000 miles. Also, when you rotate the tires do you ALWAYS have them balanced at the same time ???
Thanks !!
2007 Summit White LTZ:)
Yep I bought it ... 1st time ever. 100,300 / 5 yr. bumper to bumper, -0- deductible ('07 LTZ had 300 mi. on it). Of course this was just thrown in on the ZERO % financing ... it is the absolute best way of cutting the cost- no interest that is... ALSO - ask about the "employee" discount...
I use the Ta-phone combined with the Nav. If you have POI's on the screen - you can touch them and an "info" button displays showing the name of the icon (say a hotel) with the address and phone number. There is also a "call" button - simply press the call button & the Ta-phone calls the...
FWIW -- I just returned from dropping a kid at Penn State and my mileage through the "hills / mountains" of PA was 1.5 mpg more than on the flat of Ohio. I have the 5.3 w/active fuel management ... and the "uphills" at 12-13 mpg V8 are offset by the 30 - 50 mpg V4 "downhills" and got 18.7...
About 3 weeks ago, I made a trip to pick up my daughter from college and got caught in a horrible winter storm along I-80 thru western PA ... AND had I not had my Tahoe I would have stopped somewhere along the way. But I just stuck her in "Auto 4" and I cruised @ 65mph (you could feel her grip...
Last night, I go to top off my washer fluid ... and THERE ISN'T ANY LIGHTING for the engine compartment, or for that matter the glove box !!!!:mad3:
C'mon now - this is a '07 fully loaded LTZ (MSRP - $54,000). You can't tell me that the Cadillac or the upper crust Yukon don't have these...
I have the nav. manual (which is basically useless - IMO), but has anyone found a "legend" that details what each icon represents. There are times when so many icons are laying on top of each other that it really doesn't help at all (and I doubt I will ever need to know where to find the post...
Go to chevy.com. go to Find a Vehicle. look for a 2007 Tahoe (list LTZ) ... this will give you all Tahoe's at all dealerships within 200 miles of the area you list as your home. You can use a local dealer, just have them contact the dealer where the Tahoe is and see if they'll dealer trade...
OK ... first trip last weekend. Worse courtesy lighting ever !!! My wife likes to knit on long trips and at night she needs the passenger lights on ... but the lighting extends over to the driver and is BLINDING !!! I know I might be the only one that has ever complained about this - but it...
Congrats !!! I just picked up the exact same '07 Summit White LTZ last Thursday. I added:
1) Hitch cover (oem - have the dealer install it. I read about some people having problems with their own installation so I had the dealer do it - LOOKS GREAT). There are some other hitch covers...
being a T'hoe newby (that has always changed his own oil) I decided to go with Mobil 1 full synthetic oil. I have always used dino oil, changed every 3K, but not with the T'hoe.
So into Advanced Auto I go and found they have a deal going (I think thru 12/31) ... 5 quarts any Mobil 1 oil...
