On a positive note, I have an 02 LT 2WD I bought her with 80K and to date she has 260K.
The only money spent other than tires, brakes & oil changes have been an alternator & one rotor.
I take care of her but she does get driven even pulling my Toy Hauler that is about 6K lbs. It has done a lot...
I get my Tahoe back tomorrow after almost 3 months!
My GF sold her GMC and has been driving the Tahoe while we looked for her a replacement. I've been driving a 4 cylinder,5spd. Ford Ranger & lately my daughters old Xterra.
I'm ready for my Ho to come back home!

I've got an 02 with 239K.
I bought it with 80K almost 6 years ago. I replaced the alternator last December. I replaced the battery...finally...last month.
I replaced the right rear rotor 2 weeks ago before taking an 1800 mile trip from Georgia to Pa. And back averaging 19.5 MPG.
No leaks,no...

I may be the last person on earth to discover this but on the passenger side rear I found that if you put your spark plug socket on the plug and then use a flex head ratchet with a 3/4 in. shallow 6 point socket it is the perfect combination for this location and...
How about some kind of aftermarket replacement that would fit in the hole. Maybe fab a bracket behind the bumper to hold it in place .
Has anyone tried this?
