    exhaust or no?

Since I discovered that shifting the trans into M5 which locks it into V8 mode the rumble is gone. Gas mileage around town in M5 is unchanged from V4 at 15-16 MPG. I never checked it at highway cruising speeds as I shift it back to V4 above 50 where the rumble is tolerable. A recent trip from...

Synthetic Oil use in 2015 LTZ

My '15 Tahoe LT oil filler cap states Dexos 1 and 0-20 viscosity. GM gives you the first 2 years free plus whatever dealer incentives are offered. Have 10K on the clock with no issues except I mostly drive in M5 to get rid of the V4 drone and steering wheel vibration.

Synthetic Oil use in 2015 LTZ

Why pay for oil changes when GM gives them free for the first 2 years and some dealers provide them free for many years. It's a gift!

    '15 Tahoe rumble

After all this time I just stumbled on the solution to the V4 rumble and steering wheel vibration on my '15. GM has been silent on this problem so I'll tell you what to do. Shift the transmission lever to "M" manual mode and press the +/- buttons to 5 (fifth gear). It locks into V8 mode and...

    '15 Tahoe rumble

Please let me know how the Range Technology part works for you. I'll order one if your happy with it. GM is still being a pain in the drain not acknowledging the problem or advising Tahoe customers there is a solution. They really suck. Every time I contact Chevy customer satisfaction I get the...

    '15 Tahoe rumble

This drone/rumble problem is so widespread in the 5.3 liter Tahoe,Suburban,Silverado and Camaro that a company I just found is mfg a plug in device that locks the motor in V8 mode eliminating the V4 noise problem. It plugs into the OBD II port under the dash and does not change the computer or...

    Sun Roof Issue

Hey jmdmal 822, since you tested both the 6.2 and 5.3 and changed the exhaust did you ever notice the drone/rumble in V4 (refer to my thread on this).

    '15 Tahoe rumble

I keep hammering on my dealer about this problem with no resolution. I think Chevy is using the time honored technique of just don't pay any attention to the problem and they'll eventually go away. The odd thing about this is that my'07 never made any droning/rumbling when shifting from 8 to...

    '15 Tahoe rumble

Your comment is the first positive idea someone mentioned on how to fix the problem. Could you provide some more info on where to put the flex pipe?

    '15 Tahoe rumble

I now have 6000 miles on the '15 and it still rumbles away in V4. I agree that you cant feel the 4-8-4 shifting but I sure can hear it. Chevy is not interested in talking to me about this problem. My last telecon was several weeks ago when I requested a tech person call me to discuss but I've...

    exhaust or no?

As I noted in my thread there is a rumble in V4 mode that to me is very annoying. A reply I got on another forum indicated he put an aftermarket exhaust on a '12 Camaro SS with paddle shift and the drone in V4 mode was "horrible"

    '15 Tahoe rumble

My '07 and the '15 both shifted back and forth with no perceptable change except the '15 has a rumble/drone in V4. It immediately disappears if you slightly press the throttle to shift into V8 mode. Mechanically the shifts are seamless. When I first brought this up to the dealer he immediatey...

    '15 Tahoe rumble

I have a '15 LT. Gas mileage is about15 around town and 22-23 on the interstate with the cruise on. on I-95 from Jersey to Sarasota, Fl which is straight and flat I got 25+ for the 1200 miles. In the '07 for the same trip I got 21. Some one over on the Corvette forum indicated that if you get...

    side mirror

Moving from my '07 to the '15 wimpy mirrors were the first thing we noticed. Also, the running board seems narrower. For older folks like us if my foot slides off if slippery, a sprain or broken ankle could result. Sorry for the off topic comment.
