I love hearing when it's a cheap fix. Always good to see. When I first read it I was like "fuel pump" all day long. Nice surprise.

My truck doesn't have hydroboost and it makes the brake pedal squeak when it's very cold. Seems to me like an annoyance more than a problem to worry about. Certainly don't go replacing your hydroboost because of it.

My truck has 296,000 miles on the original motor. Cold starts, the oil pressure goes to 40 psi and hangs out there for a few minutes. Once it warms up it drops to about 35. While driving, under load, at any RPM it swings from 25-35. Seems a little low for my taste but it's still kicking.

Stupid question but did you have the code CLEARED after you replaced the gas cap? I assume its a P0442, small evap leak? If that's the case it could be any number of rubber vapor lines to/from the gas tank that are leaking. Hopefully someone who has owned a Tahoe longer than me will chime in...

Wow if that's an acceptable cost to change fluids and adjust/replace brakes on one axle I'm in the wrong line of work. Glad I do my own stuff, but I understand not everybody can or wants to.

These symptoms usually indicate an intake manifold gasket leak on these trucks. If cleaning the MAF sensor and/or throttle body don't help, it's probably the intake gasket(s).

Will any 6.5 speaker work in the doors or is there a special model we need? I have a 2001 Tahoe. I know some models can be picky with mounting tabs/depth/etc.
