I have been experiencing something similar for the last week or so. It happens when I hit the gas and when idling. Comes and goes. Took it into the dealer yesterday but they can't replicate the noise. We will see if it continues.

I bought my taillights from ecarboutique.com. A car specialty store in the north chicago suburbs. It is basically plug and play. You need to splice a few wires and install new connectors. That is it.

I live in Illinois with an 07 Tahoe LTZ. This is the best vehicle in the snow i have ever driven. I had a 2000 Ford Explorer Sport and thought that was good. The Tahoe is much better.
