I was looking into doing an 8.1 swap but I live in one of 5 counties in WI that has emission testing. What I was told is as long as you use LS emission components (O2 sensors cats and EGR) and your EVAP system with charcoal canister you should be good. Anyone who knows for sure please chime...

For anyone planning this swap 1. Be sure to get the 3'' exhaust - even if you have to cut it down its nice to have 2. Harness is not 100% the same between the 2 - even same year trucks 3. 454 radiator is taller than 350?? At least the one that was in the 3500 donor. 4. Fuel lines are not...

Yeah. I ended up grabbing everything including dash harness. Unfortunately the exhaust was crap so I found one off of a 2500 burban to get me started.. This winter I plan to drop my truck, add a better 3'' dual exhaust, Headers, 99/2000 Escalade/Denali front clip/doors, lower trim and interior.

New Guy here! I have a 99 2dr 2wd Tahoe and just bought a 99 2wd 1 ton flatbed with 454/4l80 for an engine trans swap. Other than the obvious (engine, trans, computer, harnesses) What should I be sure to grab? Donor truck is located about an hour from me so the fewer times I need to go get...
