Ordered my radiator today... Paid 251.95 as opposed to 397.36 from the mechanic. It'll prolly sit in the garage for about a month until I can get the rest of the stuff. Trying to get done by August at the latest..I'm actually amped now that I've decided to jump in and handle this myself.

I agree with you on the 1200 miles @ month. I drive from NJ to SC about 3-4 times a year and as good a gas mileage my 4 banger gets there is NO WAY I would compromise my comfort for that long of a trip. My daily commute 12 miles each way is a different story. I save gas money and wear and tear...

My 2 cents... I bought my Yukon 5 years ago and it was a 2nd car. I kept it park until the weekend, road trips, or snow in the winter. Had summer dubs and winter stock rims. That was also before I bought my house. For the last 3 years it's been a daily rider in addition to raod trips. BUT...
