Here's the Wikipedia page on the PPV version of the Tahoe. The main difference is that it sits about an inch lower than a standard Tahoe, and has a different rear bumper that replaces the tow hitch.

Anyone know if you can turn off the DRLs like you can a lot of other cars?

Anyone know what causes the dash cracking issue? Just poor quality material, or is there something we can do to avoid it?

Do they have the proper resistors in them?

Does the mechanical locking system still work with the keys? Have you checked all the fuses and relays to see if they're still all good?

As long as it's the same viscosity, there really shouldn't be an issue switching to a new oil, synthetic or non-synthetic.

Would you mind taking a video of the noise?

Sounds like it's probably the distributor cap. As Asvedin said, most of the aftermarket ones are pretty garbage. I'd recommend picking up an OEM one from someone like these guys.
