Im doing bout 264k miles on my 99 LT 4 door 4x4. As far as i know the original engine/tranny. just blew up the rear. looking at putting a 3/4 ton rear in this weekend.
I was hoping to find out if anyone knows if it is a direct swap to swap out the rear end out of my 1/2 ton tahoe rear with the rear end off a 3/4 ton chevy pickup with the same model year and gear ratio.

ehh theres only bout 250k miles on it. no idea about maintance history as i bought it at the sheriffs auction. Whats the best way to check the tie rod ends, idler arm and pitman arm to see if they need to be fixed? Also whats that gonna run?
