Ever figure this out?? I had my local mechanic grease up my yoke while he had the shaft out for some other work. Clunk is still there but I"m not totally sure it was greased.

My 98 is making a tink tink tink sound at low speed from the front. Is that the sound your hearing? I wouldn't call this a grinding noise but it sounds axle/diff related. It doesn't always do it either.

I think there's also a heater hose that goes into the intake towards the front that could be leaking down.

Yes, priming by turning the key on, maybe a couple times just to see if that makes a difference. Maybe your pump isn't holding prime for some reason, but then again if giving it gas keeps it running I'm not sure if it would be a priming issue. Just thinking out loud here...

Good point. Totally spaced on the year and that it's tbi. I do know some times battery acid can have a suffer smell and you may have been smelling it from the battery vent. Probably Un related. Maybe try priming the fuel pump a couple times before starting.

Check engine light on? Sounds like a vacuum line is off or maybe mass airflow came unplugged or something like that.

I was thinking the keyless module too, since I think the relay that unlocks the cargo doors is part of the module. However it works fine to unlock the door so that kinda throws me for a loop on that theory. I'm pretty sure that there are several locations where the wires for each door lock...

Ok, so I'd assume 95 and 98 wouldn't change, except did your 95 have keyless entry? I think that's what is complicating things. There isn't much info on these keyless entry modules.

I imagine LMC truck or Rock auto would have the cables. Mine is broken too, but I just push the latch through the seatbelt hole and it works ok for the little bit that I fold the seat.
