I do want to get it rebuilt its just that money is the main factor.Right now I have a job that i only 16 hours a week at so I'm not making alot of money and it will take a while for me to do that.

... rebuild seems to expensive for me... I'm just going to try to pull another out of a junkyard. Thanks for the help

it only shifts manually from first to second and when I put it in third it just acts as if its neutral

It snowed once in new orleans a couple of days ago. I checked outta school early to play in the snow. It was my first time driving in the snow. It was pretty fun, I tore up the senior parking lot at school haha. I went to the old winn dixie parking lot to have fun after.

I have had it for about 6 months... Someone told me that it might be a shift solenoid or something like that, that I may need. Does anyone know how to put one in?

Really? I've seen the rebuild kits but I never thought about getting it. I dont really know much about transmissions other than how to take them out of the car.

I bought a transmission for my 96 tahoe in may I found it in a junkyard for about $700 pretty expensive for me at the time and it has been working fine until the other day when I drove to the westbank and started coming back and my car would go from 2nd gear to 3rd but 3rd stopped working for me...
