Hey all, I've been watching from the shadows, getting info from time to time when I need it. Finally decided to make an account and start contributing.

I have a 2005 Tahoe that was a Detective's vehicle where I worked, and I got to keep it when it was 'retired'. It was put in the pasture because it had a "blown engine". Super clean and well maintained, i think there was something shady with the disposition, but I won in the end regardless. :D

The "blown engine" was defined as "doesn't have oil pressure". Which turned out to be a disconnected oil pressure sensor. It started and ran just fine, not so much as a 'tick' in the engine. 258,000 miles on it and it runs better than all of our 2007+ and newest Tahoes. Anyway, I'm going to be upgrading and replacing a lot of stuff over the winter and into the summer... I love this truck and it has a personality like its a family member to me or something.

I'll hope to reach out to some local DFW bowtie guys to farm some engine stuff when the time comes. I don't trust most shops, and always like to deal with that tech who does side stuff from home for rebuilds and things like that.

So... it was a hella long "intro"...but Hi anyway.
