Crank but no start

Well my keys got lost so a friend beat my lock cylinder and ended up breaking it in half. Well half of it is still in there and wont come out. I can take the needle nose pliers and turn it..it acts like it gonna start but doesnt. He said he unplugged my starter but when i looked it wasnt the starter thats unplugged its a plug thats connected to a plug on the ac compressor. How can i get my truck to start. Please somebody help me.
