Just checking in! I have 1997 2 door 4x4 Sport Model Tahoe with 100,000 KMs or 62,000 miles. Mint condition. I am looking to turn it into a lowered (not slammed) AWD road hugging machine.

IMG_0287.jpg Belltech low kit F 2in/R 3in. 20 in Denali rimsIMG_0291.jpg Not in photo but 1 inch spacers on rear now to even the front/rear track from factory settings. Paint is original and apparently a rare colour combo for Tahoes??? Detailing shop brought the original paint back to life.
It has the typical Vortec 5.7, 4L60E trans, New Process 241 transfer case. Everything is working at this time.

Looking to improve HP/Torque. Considering everything from stroking to a 383, (but 5.7 is only 2 bolt main) replacing with a 6.0 LS1, or just headers, dual exhaust. electric cooling fan, Cold air intake and chip it???? Thoughts?

Looking to improve handling with rear torsion bar and tires and possibly AWD. Would a Borg Warner AWD transfer case from late nineties Astro/Safari work in place of the NP241? Would it handle the increase in power?
Thanks for any response!
