You talking to me?
If you are...on that car I used:
Bug N' Tar
Mother's 3 stage:
1st stage: cleaner
2nd stage: sealer and swirl remover
3rd stage: carnuba
then I went over all the plastics and rubber mouldings with Turtle Wax Liquid ICE....that's about the only thing that stuff is...
I got the Tahoe as a "beater" vehicle. I have two other "pleasure" vehicles.
I bought the Tahoe for the main reason that I just bought a vacation spot in the poconos and have to transport two, well over 100 lb. dogs back and forth every weekend. Seriously.....that was my only reason....to...
OOOOkkk...lol I see where I'm confusing you now. I use the cleaner wax on the surfaces which I do not need the swirl remover such as the side skirts, wing, side mirror...etc...etc....lol now I understand what you're saying.
I'm going to have to try that Meguires #80 speed glaze. Thanks for...
I have the same problem in my 96....but can't figure out where it's coming from. Also had a leak which looked like it was coming from that black box under the glove box which has now mysteriously stopped and must have a leak in the back cargo area as the carpet is always damp after raining.
Thus the reason my first step was a clay bar. The cleaner wax was simply for the nooks and crannys you can not get a clay bar into. I don't know if I would EVER recommend applying coats on top of coats of wax and calling it "buliding upon the results of the first product application".
After...
I just used that as a 4th stage on one of my cars this weekend. Not bad as a touch up wax but I don't think I'd use it as a major detail wax. I did a clay bar, cleaner wax, swirl remover, and then the NXT Tech 2.0.
I will be using the NXT wax on my travel trailer soon......that is NOT gonna...
I have this same problem in my 96 Tahoe. I replaced the relay thinking it was that, but nope....didn't help.
Dealership and many other Tahoe owners with this same problem said the whole assembly on the steering column would have to be replaced for a fee of about $300.
No thanks, I'll just...
Unfortunately it's because of these horrible dealerships that GM suffers.
I have to drive 45 miles to bring my vehicles to a competent dealership that I trust and who won't tell me my cold air intake has just voided my entire warranty....lol I love when they pull that!
I just changed the serpintine belt on mine at 201,000 miles. I am the second owner but I'm sure it's been changed before I came along. Honestly, the only time I know to change it, is when I hear it squealing on start up. Real easy to do as well.
They run about $20,000 - $25,000 brand new. I don't think you'll find one supercharged for $6,000.
Plenty of bugs to watch out for....let me know if you want the list....lol
They're rated at 205 from the factory but most put fown over 215 to the wheels
Mother's back to black is alright if the plastic isn't in too bad of shape.
If the plastic is pretty faded or cloudy, I've noticed that Meguires Plastic Cleaner followed by Meguires Plastic Polish does the job.
I have an Injen on my cobalt and a K&N on my GTO.
The injen is alrite quality wise, but I wouldn definitely choose a K&N intake over an Injen.
I use K&N recharge kits on the injen so it makes life a bit easier....lol
