    Windshield wipers

+1 on the Bosch Icons. I've had mine on for a year, and through one winter/Texas summer they still work like new. BH

Couple of things an amateur wants to learn bout his 04 Tahoe

+1 on the ramps for getting under the truck. I bought a set of 12k lb. rated ramps from AutoZone for $50. Ramps also help you to get the oil drain plug on the downhill side, to get most of it out. If you're correct on the 45 degree angle though, I would not park on the ramps in the driveway...

Steering Wheel Button light is out

*BUMP* I only have one of the buttons not lighting up though. The rest are fine. Leads me to believe they might be separately installed in the steering wheel assembly. Has anyone ever had to mess with their steering wheel and know this answer? Thanks BH

messed up paint on the hoe :(

It's hard to believe with businesses struggling out there that anyone would let a customer leave unhappy. If they will do this to you, then they do it to others too. They obviously don't care. See if you can get ahold of the owner, and tell him your beef. If that does not work, I'd make up...

New Floor Mats - Cargo Area?

You can cut the rear liner with scissors. I used a ballpoint pent to mark exact corners, and then cut it with an x-acto & straight edge. I know the shape of the cargo liner is intended to hold stray fluids (hence the lip all the way around the perimeter), but I figured if I'm cutting out the...

how about those speed trap camera...

Va does not even have the money to redo the old outdated concrete roads, just to patch them up and make them bumpy. SO I doubt they have the money for a system like this. Thank god. They'll put them in to "raise money to fix the roads" :)

New Floor Mats - Cargo Area?

I bought Weathertech mats for my hoe. I wanted something that's form fitted, and pretty much ANY-Weather proof. The front mats and the 2nd row single mat are perfect. The back needed some work, but it has really proven to be a great purchase, and has saved my cargo carpet many times. Here's...

    awd ?'s 04 tahoe

Yep, they're right. It seems the whole point of AWD is that you have less chance to lose traction. All of the safety features you're trying to disable are there... well, to make it safer. I had a 2WD single cab truck spin 720 on the highway moving about 60mph, because of a small slick puddle...

how about those speed trap camera...

I've not noticed cameras on the highway in Dallas, but there are "red light" cameras on darn near every main intersection out here. The crazy thing about them is since they came online, the lights seem to change faster, allowing fewer cars through on each rotation and causing more traffic than...

    Mother's Powerball Mini

I have lots of those type of gadgets that sit in the garage gathering spiderwebs. After all the time you've invested in them, I'd do the polish by hand. How long could it possibly take? Maybe even invest in getting them clear coated again. BH

In Spite of all these Tahoe Problems!

I'd say that's a yes. There are going to be problems with any vehicle you own, even if you baby it. At least get the one you really want! :) BH

    Z71 Plastic trim, many questions

If you can find a primer made for plastics, it should hold. Just clean, clean, clean, it before spraying. We paint plastics at our sign shop all the time, but never anything being subjected to road grime & the like. If you can, try removing one of the pieces and paint the inner part to test. BH

    Z71 Plastic trim, many questions

I pulled mine off and trashed them. It was the only part of my hoe that I did not like. I don't blame you for wanting to paint them, but I wonder if the slight texture will really look good painted. If I had saved mine I'd give them to you for free. BH

Oh crap. They found me! EXT. Warranty

I bought one for my wife's Grand Prix when hers ran out, and I could barely get them to pay for anything. The problems we had with our extended warranty was they would only pay so much for parts that had to be replaced. They'd tell us "we find this part for $XXX, so we'll only reimburse you...

Question re: LATCH system for Child seats

Pulled a plug, time to change! *pic*

I had planned to upgrade to thicker plug wires on my 94' CK1500 before I sold it, but I just could not justify the cost for a 13 year old pickup. Now for the Hoe.... that's another story all together. BH
