No problem. I never thought there was anything rude.
First, why did you pour oil in the compressor? The compressor should already come with the correct amount of oil in it if it is a reman compressor or new compressor. You now may have too much oil in the system. If you have front and rear...
Rework the heads a little and match to a different cam for better torque. I still say by the time you do all this and your time you would be better off with a rebuilt Jasper engine and they can build the engine the way you want for the towing and the warranty is a big plus.
I do see what you are saying. Yes you can get the pistons out from the top, after removing the ridge at top of the cylinder, after removing the pan and releasing the piston rods. If you plan to take out from the bottom then crank has to be removed anyways so then new crank bearings and have the...
If you are going to do the rings then you need to refinish the cylinders and if you have the pistons out and then new bearings then new bearings on the crank. Now you are way in to it and should just do a reman engine. IMO the best is Jasper but others will say different, I am sure.
At the front pump shaft bearing, the pump reservoir, the hoses all along them, the steering gear box, all while someone is inside the truck duplicating the turn process.
Ok, when you drive and turn slightly right you load the left front. So concentrate at the left front hub area. Likely have to disassembly again and clean as you go and look for shiny metal rub mark. Something is spinning and rubbing.
The humming could be from the power steering pump, yes even if it happens in only one direction. Possibly the steering gear box. Need a mechanic's stethoscope to listen for the noise. I would have said check the hub bearings but you say it makes it when sitting still. The common denominator is...
First off because of the white smoke you talked about, check the coolant level and report back. The black smoke is typically caused by a rich run condition indicating too much fuel to cylinders. You did not say whether you have a CEL. That is important to know. If you have too much fuel to the...
If it is the correct plug wire application then they should be made to be used by reusing the old metal shields. Perfect time to remove the old shields and clean them up pretty.
So, as with any post, it would help with the year, make and model and whether you have any CEL. What engine is in the rig? The reason I ask for so many details is that for one you started out calling the vehicle a car and then a truck later in the post. Secondly, because some rigs have pattern...
