This might not be exactly what you want, but it's interesting and does have some of the build information for your particular VIN
black diamond: doesn't appear that mcelroy's is lowered....these were that height stock. They were a couple inches lower than the normal stock 2wd because they were on the police package suspension
My "2000 Limited" was made in late 1999, but I've never heard of any "true" Limiteds that were 1999 model year. But hey....weirder things have probably happened. Do you have any pics to post of yours? It isn't a 1999 LTD, is it.....but a "LIMITED" with the badging? Is it Onyx black, with no...
Have a question about these....does anyone out there have the type that DON'T use 3M adhesive to attach above window? I know there are some that snap into the window groove. I'd only want to put these on during rainy weather, (which isn't that often here in SF Bay Area in California) but...

This isn't a build sheet, but will help decode the VIN number, if you're not aware of what the numbers mean.

See what engine your truck came with by the VIN number. This might not mean anything if your engine was swapped out at some point.
You may have already read the information on this link....if not, it might be helpful:

It's a rather long read, but there might be something on that page that could help
lesterl- do you know any members on here who can run my VIN number for a build sheet? I think mine may have been repainted at some point in the past, because it doesn't have any decals that say "Limited", just the "Tahoe" decal on the back. I don't want the side decals anyway, so I'm glad...
Dave- that's AWESOME ! Love it....and I like how you've kept the stock wheels. I'm sure people are always asking you "what year is that?" They probably think it's much newer than 2000, for sure. Good job !
Ultimately here's EXACTLY what a truck is "worth": WHAT SOMEONE IS WILLING TO PAY FOR IT. At least that is what it's worth monetarily. Many trucks hold sentimental value, or intrinsic value....and in those cases it might take more than double whatever the Kelly Blue Book is to just get a...
YES....worth $4K
I would say yes, for sure.
I have an '03 Escalade AWD, and it blue books around $8K, so this one you're looking at is definitely worth $4K, in my opinion, if it doesn't have any hidden problems. You can order the replacement leather seat bottom for $189 online, and probably...
To help avoid future issues with squeaky belts, I've replaced mine with a Goodyear Gatorback.....no squeaks from under the hood since. Even if something isn't aligned perfectly, it won't cause a Gatorback belt to squeak. The only thing that might cause a squeak going forward would be a worn...
Ice- is this kinda what we're talking about? It's what I'm going to try. I understand I won't be able to activate my trailer brakes, but that's okay. I can use my other tow vehicle for trips requiring that.
So, I need some advice. I have a 2000 Limited that has the 4 pin round plug for hooking up the electrical for towing. I guess I could spend some money and have it converted over to the 7 round blade type, like my '03 Escalade has.
So my trailer has the 7 round cord, and I'm trying to find...
Rotts- make SURE the battery cables are secure on the terminals, especially if they're the side mounts. Even a little bit of play could cause weird electrical issues.
Truckguy- if your motor is stock, then it should be a 5.3 liter, not a 5.7....even the 2000 model Hoes (with the exception of the Limiteds) had gone down to the 5.3
If yours is really a 5.7, then maybe somehow it was a special upgrade option offered at the time, because there may have been some...
