the trim bezel around the radio pulls off, (disconnect the 4x4 wires and the lights for complete removal), and then the radio has clips that you squeeze together and the radio slides out. its honestly a 30 second thing. the flipout should work no problem.

is the engine temp staying cool as well, or does the engine heat up?
