i dont have rear ac, but the blockoff plate will sometimes rattle. I'll just push on it and it stops. its almost as if its just vibrating loose. i've never cared enough to do a perminant fix. if i turn it up the system drowns out the rattle anyway. lol

i figured thats why you would have it turned around. we built a box for a guy with a monte carlo who did the same thing til he got some dynomat. unfortunately its not cheap.

yea, i would also suggest that you dont fully mount the clips til you check that the radio is level and at the best height. its a lot of testing to get it right

the remote start wont effect it. you have to turn the key before driving it, or else hitting the brake would shut off the truck. seems like that cable (as stated in the other post) would be the problem

in order to do it you would have to take the slide clips off the factory radio and attach em to the double din. you then slide in the radio and mod the trim to accommodate it. seen it done, debated doin it, just never got around to it.

i have to agree that they like getting beat up a little. mine gets better milage at 90 than it does at 80.

yep. did it the whole 200 miles home before i got it fixed. pinging, vibration, all that. but only while your on the gas. coasting, there was nothing. it was real weird. had it fixed, and its all better now. i didnt feel like fixing it tho, so i took it to a guy. 120 for both of the u joints on...

check the front u joints too. thats what mine was when it did the same thing.

yes, in these trucks theyre very simple. i've had mine in and out 5 times just because its easier to pull the radio than it is to go around it.

get it from your local chevy dealer or a junk yard. its the OEM pocket. came on trucks without the lower CD player

no, we can get different colors. black just seems to be a more common request. if i remember correctly, we did red ones for a burban with red interior.. black just goes with the odd interior colors GM decided to use in these trucks.
