My '79 Blazer had the removable top. Wiki must have been edited without having their facts checked.
I loved that Blazer. Definitely should have held onto it.
Geez you guys are meticulous! I use an old rag out of my toolbox and spit... My truck's pretty good sized, I don't need to see. It's the other cars on the road that need to look out.
:)
Try your local salvage yards. You can pick up a lot of those types of things there. Only tough part sometimes is getting the right color.
Right now I'm trying to get one rear headrest, but the local place that actually has them wants me to buy the whole seat, not just the headrest. :(
OK. Thanks for that. I have a 95 as well and I have some weird play that moves the truck around a little unpredictably. If nothing else it makes for some occasionally interesting drives through the country.
I know a guy here in town who has a SWEET classic Bronco. The entire interior from about the half-way point down is rhino-lined. IMO, if you're one of those guys who likes to get dirty, it's the only way to fly. He literally hoses out his interior when he's done playing in the mud. I always...
crap! Now it started doing it even when I tilt the wheel. This is frustrating. I haven't had a chance to get under it and look at anything because I work all day and it's been wicked-cold here in the evenings. On top of that, the weekend is supposed to be downright bitter outside so I probably...
The first time it happened, it seemd to work by moving the gear selector around, but after that, I had to tilt the wheel. I'll mess with the switch when I get a minute though. Any tips on what to look for?
Today I went to leave work and when I turned the key, everything lit up as expected on the dash, but nothing happened. No click or anything. It was like trying to start the vehicle while its not in "park". I started messing with the gear selector and the ignition and it eventually started.
I...
I had a similar issue last week, from what you've described. It turned out to be the alternator. It was shot. I would start it and it would die. Then nothing. Then it would do the "clicking" noise that they make when the battery is too low to activate the solenoid. Then after a few minutes it...
Well that just brings new meaning to the word "fun", doesn't it? Man I hope I never have to do that. Sounds like entirely too much work. Besides, I'm fresh outta BFH's... :)
Sorry if this sounds stupid, but is the brake fluid reservoir full? I had a situation once in another vehicle with the same type of thing and it was because the fluid was low enough that when you hit bumps or cornered a little tight, the fluid sensor (brake lights) would turn on.
Just a thought.
