I wanted an OEM look as well when I was shopping lights for my Denali. Ultimately, I bought 6000k and feel they are just the slightest bit too blue for my tastes. If I could do it over I would go with the 5000k; in fact, if they ever burn out I will get 5000k. Don't get me wrong though, 6000k...
Wouldn't buying a Denali for the drive train be a cheaper solution than an Escalade? Maybe you should think about replacing the missing parts in the Escalade from your Tahoe. (assuming you want an Escalade more than a Tahoe that is)
Not if the bolt behind the fender is torqued to factory specs. You run the risk of breaking the tab off the headlight.
I prefer just to do it right and take loose the front fender liner enough to get a hand inside to loosen the bolt. But you are correct that the bolt doesn't need to be...
I don't know of a way to do this, but if you figure it out let me know! I hate to have my HIDs turn on and off like that, though I would still like use of the under mirror lights.
I personally recommend removing the entire front end for MUCH easier access. This way you can wire tie everything neatly. I attached my relay box to the side of the radiator support and routed my battery cable up through the stock harness. Since yours is a Hybrid it may be a little different...
The switch between high and low is as fast as stock. I have no doubts about the bulbs lasting. If they don't though, I guess the lifetime warranty should cover failure.
Unfortunately, I did not take any pictures of my installation. If I decide to swap out my 6000k bulbs for 4500k or 5000k...
I have the DDM hi/lo H13 set in my 07 Denali and they work great. It works by an actuator that physically shifts the bulb's position within the housing to achieve the OEM high beam pattern. I must say that it works very well. I can't comment on longevity but the solenoid design used seems...
Does anyone know what it takes to add a heated steering wheel to an '07 Denali? I have found a wheel with controls but can't help to wonder if there are any other parts required to make the system work.
When I bought my Denali, the previous owner had run two screws through the cover into plastic behind it. The screw heads are exposed but its surprisingly hard to notice. I decided it wasn't worth replacing the cover and just painted them black to match. Its nice to have piece of mind that the...
