    Low Idle...stalling

Yep, my LQ4 had some idle issues when I bought it, I simply cleaned up the t-body & used MAF specific cleaner on the MAF and all was well afterwards. Just be careful when pouring or spraying anything into the intake system, do NOT enter too much liquid into it at any one time, or you may...

02 Tahoe Won't Start - Need some help please

How many miles on it? Truck's tune is up to date? Checked for spark yet? Does the tachometer move while it's cranking over? This can point to a problem w/ the crank sensor if it doesn't move.

Did you get this figured out? The illustration above should point you in the right direction so far as where the resistor/relay module is located.

    factory battery posts and cables

This is what the factory battery cable bolt looks like in general, although this is a longer bolt designed to allow for extra electrical connectors: You just basically "work" it out of the plastic end cover to remove it.

    2004 Z71 Tahoe wipers won't shut off.

Thanks. Yes they're from the Helm's factory manual for '01 GM trucks. Here's what I found for the rear wiper motor replacement: -Remove the rear wiper arm by removing cover off arm then remove nut and pull arm off drive spline. -Remove nut & spacer from the wiper motor shaft (located on...

    2004 Z71 Tahoe wipers won't shut off.

You're welcome:thumbsup: . The GP I've owned for over 5 yrs. I use it everyday (except in deep snow, which we've had too much of this winter). It suits me fine the way it is in stock form, so no plans of modding it or anything. It's pretty much a base model car (except for leather), so it's...

    Blower only works on high

What year? Front HVAC controls? Manual controls? Probably the blower motor resistor/relay module. It's located at the bottom of the HVAC case on the right side near the blower motor. Here's a picture of where it would be located on the HVAC assembly, #5 is the resistor, #6 is the wiring...

    2004 Z71 Tahoe wipers won't shut off.

To replace the wiper motor you have to access it which is located in the cowl area below the windshield. Remove: -Wiper arms (note where they're located & remove the nut cover and then remove nut, may have to use a battery terminal puller to get the arm off the splined drive end) -Air...

Would intermediate steering shaft cause choppy tread wear?

If it's out of warranty, call up some local tranny shops and see if they'll do a free diagnosis for you where they will drive the vehicle w/ you in the truck w/ him/her, most will. A competant shop will know if there's a problem or not w/ the tranny. May want more than one shop to look at it...

    Front end vibration

May want to check the hubs and then have an alignment check, too. It could be that the shocks are overwhelmed w/ the larger wheels...do you know if they're alot heavier that the stock ones?

    04 Tahoe issues...

Your "miss" could be tranny related. Perhaps its software might need updating. A competent tranny repair shop can tell you whether your problem is tranny related or is a misfire. Call around and talk to some local tranny shops and see if someone's willing to let you come out and take a test...

Would intermediate steering shaft cause choppy tread wear?

I doubt the steering shaft is the cause of your problem with tire wear. The "bad" shafts were due to an improper length of the shafts which can cause clunkiness, not to do with any looseness in the steering. You may just need a plain old alignment, has it ever been checked? Also, whenever the...

    Help needed

Since you have an '01, to reset the oil life monitor you simply turn the ignition keyswitch to ON (don't start the engine!) and press the gas pedal to the floor 3 times within a short amount of time and then let off. It'll flash a few times if it's accepted, then turn off the key, then start...

    hypertech problem

If his model of Hypertech programmer is a "Power Programmer III" for an '02 application, then it will not work in your '01 as they are pretty much year specific. If it's a "Max Energy" model, then it "might" work in your '01, but I don't know much about those and they might be married to a VIN...

Go to the link below to get your's rebuilt for about $157, also there's a good amount of reading you can do to learn more about the problem. Here's what they say to do if the pump keeps running: "Disconnect the battery terminal first to shut it down. Then locate and pull the ABS pump fuse...
